The starting line

It seven in the morning. I dont know what to do with today. So much in mind, but just not any motivation to start doing it. Hala, i think of one thing that could preoccupy me for the rest of the day. Go to church. It’s been a while, it’s been a freakin’ while. So much have not heard of them, my church so called friends. I long for that day when i get to see them again but i was hesitating. Colliding in my thoughts was the mere justification if what will it be like. Would they ever tap me in the back and address me by that same brotherly calling like the way it is before. I know i betray them, but it’s been a while. Time has set the wounds that i know took long to heal. Whats the use of the time we been friends and being with the same calling. I’m sane now, i’m sane like i always want them to believe me. The demons that clutter my eternal mindset has left and the only things that remains are the memories of the aftermath. That freak ghost has left me to a nobody and i like a distant star, it’s so far to haunt me back and i’m too strong to hurt again.

Almost bookworm?

I have just finished reading ‘sophies world’ the other day, and here i am now. Starting a new one. i cant help it, i fight the urge to do so, but always end up in the loser bracket. Call me ‘bookworm’, but as far as my recollection of my ‘book reading’ is concern. I am not. Well two reason’s why ‘i dont belong to the bookworm society’. I have just took great interest in reading book’s not too long ago, maybe two years or more. I dont read book’s that doesn’t interest me. How did i figure out what certain books interest me. I gaze thru the cover, skim thru the first five pages and see the author. Simple as safe!

Most of the time, i read autobiography or true life story books. I certainly love it when i’m reading something and i’m rest assured everything i read is real and is really happening. I dont waste time reading action/suspense books with great credits on it. I rather watch DVD for christ sake. I remember reading ‘the heavenly man’, and trust me, i cant get my eyes off it. It’s just so moving and powerful. That what i get if i choose to read auto bio books. It’s like watching a movie or something. So the next time someone call me bookworm. they think again! I’m faster than the worm!

Erap in the eyes of my father

I remember it was high, saddest time for my dad when erap got ousted and Arroyo’s got the best of the whole ordeal. My father was a hardcore erap loyalist. He was instrumental for erap’s win in my province, in a little way. He help erap as if they have been friends for so long or they even know it’s other. It’s like doing something for erap without asking to be paid back. He talks about erap in every family gathering. Sometimes when i look at him in the morning, i thought i saw erap but then again it was just my father. I saw my father reaction when erap was kick of his seat, he was yelling in resentment. I dont remember, by the whole impeachment proceeding, without him shouting on the t.v screen harsh words on chavit. He hates chavit so much. My mother dont like erap that much but she eventually got drawn to love him because of my father. On why my father is so hooked with erap? It may have lead back to the day when my father was still attending college in manila. He may have idolized erap so much as an actor because he also like FPJ. Thats what i believe in about my father’s over fascination of erap. In the eyes of my father. Erap is the only hope for this country. The solution to every problem this country is facing, and the only one who can win people’s heart. Agree?

That 8 Knockdown

Last sunday boxing match was more than the ordinary. Not because 8 of our local boxers won over each of their opponent, but because they did it by knokdown. Yeah! you heard it right, in case you didn’t get to watch the match. All of them kiss the canvass courtesy of our 8 pinoy boxers. Sweet revenge for Boom2x in winning his fight. It was an easy opponent for him, finishing it in 2 rounds. But i beleive it was a moral booster for him. Losing all his momentum with that 1st round lose to Ponce-de leon. I think he’s back. Watching Aj banal on the other end is very calming. this kid at 19 has a very bright future ahead of him, more than what i see in MP. It was a battle of the undefeated. Makes you think either one of them has to go. But Aj proves his the best there is in this division. T’was an eliminator, the winner gets the right to fight the champion ‘kirilov’ which freddy roach handled. So be ready freddy, your kid ‘kirilov’ is going to be next, you know that. The main event was the longest fight of all 8. Taking penalosa 8 rounds to dispose his opponent. that’s all i can say for him. The big loser goes to manny. Cant say the words though when JMM goes right in his face to ask for a rematch. All i heard of him clearly was. welcome to the philippines. and he say it twice as if ‘nacho beristain’ the great, my idol doesn’t heard anything. A quick analysis, MP should get a rematch with JMM, and it should happen soon.

zero tolerance?

Today was supposed to be the day i’m going to meet-up with my CWTS proffesor. he ask me before the school is over, to why not settle my ‘supposed to be responsiblites’, within the day he alloted. But i woke up today with a little buzz in my head and feeling not quite well, so i think i’ll miss another oppurtunity to finally end this losing streak i have with my ‘control freak’ teacher.

” eh nganung naa pa may cwts na wa man gihapon nay gamit, hago2x ra man ta ani. kurakot kaayo na si sir. bayran na lang ni najo ajo oi “

I overheard my classmate saying in mild tone. He too was given incomplete grades for not complying with our professor’s unreasonable projects, with the rest of about 13 of us who were given the same remarks. i have try so many times to settle my grades but he alway came up with something which i indirectly opposed. Giving us another project for a settlement is a different story. i dont remember missing any exam, projects or quizes, or my attendance that could have cause me to impart in this turmoil. Cut it short sir! if it’s money you want, then i’m not the student to deal with. It’s not that i dont have the resources to give you, it’s just that i dont want to tolerate your corruption, even if it means ‘ see ya’all next sem’ though.

another rookie mistake!

another victim of cellular phone robbery was shot dead last friday. this time, i personally know the person. it was lucky pitogo for goodness sake. i just saw him last semester, doing practice with the entire team in preparation for the national league in manila. now he’s not breathing anymore. it just reminded me how life is too short and unpredictable. read more. . . .

jun lozada who?

jun’freakin’lozada as what i may have called him. you know the man, the controversy brought about by the ZTE deal cause this person to become so popular. everybody knows him now, even my dog named ‘buteyik’ can recognize his face.

recently he embark in a nationwide tour, to educate students all around the country, which is his target audience, to be aware of what’s this controversy he is involve into. his first stop was a success, enjoying great support in iloilo, davao and bacolod. the last stop was a surprised, i thought jun lozada was the bomb, but i figure it out his also the bum. his visit in cebu produce not so good result. He was being criticized and scutiny is all over the place. I cant blame him for pointing on cardinal vidal for masterminding the whole scenario. is it true then? i dont mind giving on second look over what happened to him in his escapade here in cebu. it just goes to say, he cant please cardinal vidal.

politics, my family, my dad

Philippine politics is considered to be one of the dirties in the world. no wonder we have what is called ‘only in the philppines’. i dont see any good things that is happening in this country if it comes to politics. to much of it may have cause this country to where it is now.

i grow up in a family of frustrated politician, maybe because my father run for public office in a local election, but lose to an equally dumber opponent. my auncle follow his footstep and run the same position but received the same fate. by the next election my other auncle join in the bandwagon with a better budget and a wider audience, but once again end up losing by a smaller margin, which is good enough. he may have break the record my father been keeping for a long time.

everytime my family got into a get together, my father and my auncles never fail to talk about politics. they started in a neutral ground and after a while arguments begun to spark and next thing you see, they’re fighting already. tsk, tsk, tsk! my father is so politically inclined but doesn’t have the charisma i guess to win people’s approval. it goes the same too, to my auncles. and just like my families political frustration, filipino politicians start at a neutral ground and when to much has been said, i dont know if it’s ever be done.
